Sunshine Committee
Please share good news and sad news so that all members of HASLMS will be informed about your coworkers.
Sunshine Guidelines 2009
1. When a member is ill for an extended period of time, a card will be sent.
2. When a member enters the hospital because of an illness a card plus a book-mark will be sent.
3. In the event of the death of a member a donation of $50.00 will be made towards a charity, or desire of the member's family.
4. In the event of the death of an immediate family member (parent, spouse, or child) a donation to a charity or a book to the member's media center will be given. The amount will not exceed $50.00.
5. For the birth of a baby or a wedding, a card will be sent.
6. Members who retire will be sent a card and a HASLMS paperweight to be presented at the annual banquet.
7. Members who are honored as "Teacher of the Year" will receive a paperweight and be honored at the annual banquet.
8. Other Sunshine matters outside of these guidelines will be handled at the discretion of the chairman.
Exceptions to the guidelines may be made through recommendations to the Sunshine Committee and with the approval of the President
